As Program Director of WPCT Radio, I’m proud to share a major development in our station’s evolution. WPCT is now in direct communication with national touring bands, connecting with them while they travel between venues, catch late‑night flights, and roll across the country on their tour buses.
This isn’t rumor. This isn’t hype. This is real, verified, on‑the‑road access.
In recent days, WPCT has opened a new line of communication with touring musicians who are performing across major U.S. cities. These conversations are happening in real time, directly from the road, giving WPCT listeners a level of authenticity and backstage insight that most independent stations never experience.
One of our closest contacts is Mike Knowles, bassist for the nationally touring Ozzy tribute act Crazy Train. Mike — a long‑time friend and respected musician — has become WPCT’s go‑to connection inside the band. After discussing our broadcast concept, Mike responded warmly and is now bringing our interview proposal directly to the group.
His message says it all: “I’ll let the guys know. They may be interested.” And in closing: “I will! It’s good to hear from you!” ❤️
